QT – Romans 11

Vs. 1, “I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.”  Even though many Israelites had rejected the Lord and cried “Crucify Him, Crucify Him” to Jesus…God had not rejected them.  Paul was living proof of that!  Paul uses Elijah as an example of God’s faithfulness over the history of Israel.  Many biblical scholars believe Israel will play a very important role as the End Times drawer nearer.    Paul uses Scripture from the Old Testament to back up how God will use Jesus and His grace to bring about salvation to the righteous.

Regarding application…The Future Is Certain.  Paul reminds each of us today that God has not forgotten us.  I want you to think about this for a moment.  What if we didn’t have the Bible?  What if we didn’t know what was going to happen to us in the future?  What if we had no idea that Jesus was going to come again?  What if we didn’t know there was going to be a new Heaven’s and Earth?  Because of His Word, we do have a future that is certain!  Don’t allow the discouragements of this life to cast a dark shadow over the promises of your future!
