Vs. 4, “All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing praise to your name.” The psalmist invites all people to come before the Lord & praise Him! Why? Because of what all He has done. As you read this psalm, look how detailed the psalmist gets with his descriptions of God…praising God for who He is & what He has done.
Regarding application…Promises To God. Vs 14, “…vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.” I couldn’t help thinking of times in my own life when I was in trouble & pleaded to God. In a way, it’s easy to turn to God when we have no other choice. But, often times…what brought us to that point was because we turned to everything, except God. Even little promises like asking God to give you a good grade on a test (because you didn’t prepare like you were supposed to) and then promising God if you help me, I will do my QT’s everyday. Now it may last a couple of days, but we easily forget our promises to God. More importantly….we made our biggest vow to the Lord when we accepted Jesus! Whenever a person decides on Jesus…there is a crises going on…a crises of the heart & will. Something in our lives made us realize that we needed more than just ourselves. Now that God has so abundantly answered our requests…Let us people of integrity & fulfill our vows (promises) to God everyday He gives us life!
