Vs. 4, “For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.” Amen! This author of this psalm is anonymous, but the declarations still rings true! There is an upholding of God’s word shown throughout this Psalm. It is through God’s word that we worship, God’s word that the earth & the heaven’s were created, God’s word thoughout the generations, and God’s word in our life! The knowledge that God is in control and nothing can be done without him is evident in this psalm.
Regarding appliction…Finding Hope. Vs. 18, “But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.” There is also a sense of living a life that God looks down on Earth to see. That life is life that is devoted to God. A life that finds its hope anchored in his Word. Don’t let the small routines of life suck out the joy God gives to you. Sometimes the repetiveness of my days at the bank can get exhaustiing, but it’s then that I need to remember my purpose in life. Our hope and joy in this life can only be found in the Lord. If you can learn to keep that perspective, the smaller valleys of life won’t seem so bad afterall!
